Harrah's Hotel Casino
Hotel Information: Dating to 1943 when it opened as a bingo parlor, this hotel provided Reno's first casino and has expanded over the decades until it now occupies both sides of North Center Street, with a casino and guestroom tower on each side.
Escalators lead to a second-story skybridge spanning the street. The skybridge contains slot machines and restaurants.
Amenity highlights: Open during warm-weather months, a fifth-floor pool deck provides swimming and sunning opportunities. An adjacent health spa provides saunas, steam rooms, spa tubs for relaxed soaking, tanning rooms, and massage. Downtown Reno clings to tradition, but the hotel includes a thoroughly contemporary jazz/blues nightclub, Sapphire Lounge, and a wine bar.
Insider tip: Harrah's offers five kennels on a first-come, first-served basis for hotel guests' pets (deposit required). Guests also receive two-for-one tickets (per person, per reservation) to Sammy's Showroom.
Harrah's Casino Hotel Reno offers over 928 guestrooms in the 26-story East Tower and the 24-story West Tower. Guestrooms include 32-inch TVs with cable and pay movies, wireless Internet access (surcharge), and irons/ironing boards. Compact refrigerators are available on request (subject to availability).
